This blue wool blend coat is built for cold decks and long days at the faire. Women did sail under the black flag. Anne Bonny and Mary Read fought aboard Calico Jack Rackham's sloop in 1720, and wool was what kept a crew warm in wet sea wind. Hand embroidery trims the coat. Two wooden toggle buttons close the front. Ready for reenactments and LARP.
Wear it open over a linen shirt and corset, or button it closed when the wind picks up. The wool blend holds warmth on cool mornings and still breathes once the faire gets busy. Belt it at the waist for a fitted look.
